Comments for Red Hot Chili Peppers, Off The Map

This is the most obscure Red Hots collection I`ve come across.It was released shortly after the Mother`s Milk album. MillionairsAgainst Hunger was a track that never made it to Frecky Styley. Itis so downright funky, you`ll wonder why it never made it on the record.But the clincher on this cd is the Higher Ground Daddy-o Mix.I`ve never been a big fan of the different mix downs of goodtunes so that they are supposed to be more danceable or longer,but THIS mix has a very long bass solo at the end which almost made me piss my pants. I`ve heard all of Flea`s studio workand I`ve seen him in concert twice, and nothing matches up to the level of this solo. It makes me smile even thinking about it.Try to get this recording, but be prepared to spend a smallfortune for it. My brother paid approximately $30 dollars for it at an "underground" in Chicago.
