Comments for Reed, Lou, Set the Twilight Reeling

E-MAIL: geff@ihug.co.nz
FANTASTIC! Sweet releif for those who have thought Lou was never going to escape that depressive phase. Its BIG,Its HEAVY and its LOUD. and it also the opposite in some parts, an album of Definate contrast. EGG CREAM, HOOKY WOOKY, SEX WITH YOUR PEARENTS rock! NYC Man is very cool.......Just like LOU!
Lou`s first solo album since Magic and Loss finds him in the loosest and, yes, happiest form he`s been in since 1984`s New Sensations. Most of the record concerns Reed`s by-now traditional theme of rebirth, this time through his love affair with Laurie Anderson (who performs on "Hang On to Your Emotions"). The title track may be Lou`s best love song since "Coney Island Baby". The music is very tight and very spare, and as with all Lou`s records since New York, sounds great.
BAH !!! THIS PEOPLE I HAVE UP TO MY STATEMENT IS COMPLETELY MAD. THEY NEVER HEARD AN ALBUM LIKE ROCK'N'ROLL ANIMAL (OR LIVE IN JAPAN OF DEEP PURPLE ).THEY'RE GAYS
