This album is VERY hard to listen to, but can still be appreciated.

an excellent compilation however unfortunate that the beautiful Paul Zukofsky rendering of VIOLIN PHASE was not included...will anyone make this recording available again (not the emc version).

This is an essential album for all fans of Steve Reich. The development of his musical language stems from the works on this album and are an intrinsic part of his contribution to contempory music.
