Honestly, If you like early Ride/ Byrds then that thats what you have with these guys. I hear that Scott(the songwriter) has a new band called James at 16 and they are sort of Velvet Undergroundish. I haven''t have the pleasure of hearing them but my friend saw them march 12 in Athens, Ga. I hear that they are playing with seam and versus soon, but I don''t know where. If you haven`t heard of these three youths from virginia then you have really missed out. I saw these guys live a few times and they were just amazing. They however were as far removed from the glittery, sensationalized world of rock and roll, as you could ever imagine. Their music is a brilliant hybrid of 60`s pop mixed with as ethearial sound that makes your pain seem to go away for a few minutes. They broke up last year and the members are all in other bands now. I still write Scott who was the brains behind the band. Anyone interested in their music please contact me and I will see if I can get you a copy of their tape. They made one C.D., but only pressed 1,000 copies of the thing. They also have two seven-inches.Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
