Comments for Robb, Ian, Hang the Piper

This is one of my all-time favorite albums. Too bad the group never made another album. Jim Jones is a unique song.

A mixture of tradition Celtic and British Isles tunes.

The group did record one other track on the album Owen Sound Summerfolk, a live recording. Ian subsequently recorded with the Old Sod Band, with the Friends of Fiddlers Green, and with Finest Kind. Hang the Piper fiddler Seamus McGuire and guitarist Terry Rudden recorded an instrutmental album for Folk Legacy with Seamus' brother Manus, who went on to form Moving Cloud. Grit Laskin recorded with the Friends, and several solo albums as well.
