Comments for Rogers, Stan, Between The Breaks...Live

A live album which demonstrates Stan's depth of feeling and his great baritone voice. "Barrett's Privateers" is the best song on a fantastic album.

I love this albumn! Some of it's a bit sacharine(SIC) but overall a great effort. I find myself singing sea chanties on the way to work.

"Between the Breaks Live" is standard party fare in the Maritimes (Canada). It is a wonderful anthem and a damn fun song to sing - once you get all those words memorized ! Stan''s brother Garnet is also a brilliant songwriter. It''s too bad that the world lost such a great talent. I would have loved to see Stan in concert. "The Witch of the Westmorland" is also a great song.

Absolutely my favorite of all of Stan's recordings. I thought he was always best live and the collection of musicians for this recording is one of the very best. It's good for hundreds of listenings!
