"You can't always get what, but if you try sometimes you might find you get what you need" A Rolling Stones album!!!

Wow! Wow! Wow! This one is haunting. From the beginning of "Gimme Shelter" to the end of "You Can't Always Get What You Want", this ablum is full of anger. This album is full of the Stones! Let it Bleed of course includes some intense blues tracks like, "Love In Vain" and "Midnight Rambler". It includes the second version of "Honkey Tonk Woman", called "Country Honk", which was recorded outside on a street corner. It also includes the nasty title track, "Let it Bleed" a title which is a play on The Beatles "Let it Be". I can't really choose my favorite Rolling Stones song ever, but if God came down from heaven, put a gun to my head and said, "Choose!" it would be "Monkey Man". The eighth song on this album Mick is at his best on this one, screaming and yelping like a monkey. Let it Bleed is probably my favorite Stones album. Wow! Wow! Wow! "...we all need someone we can cream on...and if you want it you can cream on me..." -"Let it Bleed" Robbie Fenwick (Western Kentucky University)

I've always thought that the three studio-LP period starting with "Let It Bleed" and ending with "Exile On Main Street" to be the summit of the Stones... and very probably rock itself. "Let It Bleed" is an unforgettable commencement to that climb. And I agree with the comments about "Monkey Man"-- where has this gem been HIDING all these years?

"...And there will always be a space in my parking lot When you need a little coke and sympathy" Mick Jagger/Keith Richards This is probably the best line in the history of poetry.

To me, Live With Me is the peak of this record. It has that killer riff and rock'n'roll raunchyness that make it so powerful.

THE BEST ALBUM EVER MADE

a continuation of the Beggars Banquet spirit, Let It Bleed mixes nasty rock numbers, classic blues, and lighthearted and humorous country/folk tunes. The album kicks off with the haunting, "Gimme Shelter." This is some of keith Richard's finest work. His ghostly lead phrases dart and weave over reverberating staccato rhythm work. And, of course, during the chorus, he powers it home. Mick's vocals achieve the same effect--faint and distant, he strains just enough. "Love In Vain" is completely beautiful. "Let It Bleed" is one of the funniest "rock" songs ever. "You Got the Silver," Richards first solo vocal piece is filled to the brim with emotion, and contains a beautiful organ solo. And, of course, "Monkey Man" kicks!!! a note to guitar players: Keith uses the following tunings: Gimme Shelter: standard Love In Vain: standard Country Honk: standard Live with Me: standard Let It Bleed: standard, capoed at 3rd Midnight Rambler: standard, capoed at 7th You Got the Silver: low-to-high, E,B,E,G#,B,E, capoed at 1st Monkey Man: standard, capoed at 2nd You Can't Always Get What You Want: low-to-high: (no 6th) G,D,G,B,E, capoed at 5th

A GREAT ALBUM. If you want to become a stones fan you need three albums to start. They are, hands down, Let It Bleed Sticky Fingers and Some Girls. Let It Bleed is so strong in lyriks and music. This album puts me over the edge. If you want to start listening to the stones by this album. THIS ALBUM SHOULD BE PLAYED LOUD!!!!!!!!

This is probably one of the best albums ever made. My favorit song is "Let It Bleed". One could listen to it all day.

This is a "10". "Gimme Shelter" is one of the greatest songs ever recorded. This album is one of the 5 best ever, hands down. "Let it Bleed" and "Midnight Rambler" have terrific lyrics, but the guitar in "Gimme Shelter", whoa!

Very good, but somewhat uneven. "You Can't Always Get What You Want,""Gimme Shelter" and "Let It Bleed" are classics. - the rest of the material ranges from very good to average.
