This one was recorded in Jamaica and it is the real "voodoo lounge" album. The cabalistic messages of the songs are quite heavy and it is better to believe that they were not really aware of it. From a superficial point of view the record has some great expresions of musical maturity like the beutiful guitar solo of former stone Mick Taylor on "Time waits for no one" helped by precision of the last of the Stones Mr Charlie Watts. It has as well one of their number one hits of all times "Angie" dedicated to Angela Bowie the lady that onces found Mick and David in bed together!. It is important to mention as well songs like Winter and Star Star which was going to be named originally Star FUCKER. All great songs but the best in the album on my opinion is COMINIG DOWN AGAIN of Keith Richards.

Not a bad album. Goat's Head includes great tracks like "Angie","Dancin' with Mr. D.","(Doo Doo Doo Doo)Heartbreaker", and "Star Star". I would suggest buying this album only after purchasing all those before it. It isnt bad, but it isnt the best. Scale of 1 to 10...7. -Robbie Fenwick (Western Kentucky Universtiy)

A great album...when it was released on CD, I believe it was the first time the un-censored version of Star Star was available in the US. The album was almost not released because the record company didn't want to allow the song (originally titled Starfucker) on the album. After a compromise...the title was changed and the word "pussy" was slurred over. Until the CD, the original version was available only on imports. Long live the greatest rock and roll band in the world!!!

Upon perusing your comments section for Goats Head Soup, I saw that you made particular mention of Mick Taylor's excellent guitarist abilities on "Time Waits For No One". Yes, Mick Taylor does play rather well on that track, however; "Time Waits For No One" does not, and has never, appeared on the album Goats Head Soup. If you care to look, you will find the particular song in question on another fabulous Rolling Stones album that goes by the name of "It's Only Rock and Roll". I am a little bit disappointed at this obvious lack of Rolling Stonesability. I gave it a nine, what would you give it???

This album is great. Why does everybody say it was one of their worst efforts? I love Star Star! E-mail me, I like talking about the Rolling Stones! I know almost more than anybody about them. If you have any questions about Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones, leave me a letter. -Mike Keef (Anaheim, CA.)

I think this is a sub-par Album from the Stones (Of course, it''s still better than your average rock disc). Besides the great "Angie", and the brilliant "Star Star", theres not much here. Personally, I really think "Doo Doo..." is a very mediocre song at best, and can''t understand why radio stations still play it so often.
