Comments for Rusted Root, Cruel SunE-MAIL: sherwoods@urvax.urich.edu One of the better bands I've ever had the pleasure to see live. Can't wait to see them in the Floodzone in Richmond. How they all are going to fit on that small stage will be a feat in itself.E-MAIL: smcpherson@wesleyan.edu See my comments on "When I Woke"E-MAIL: vargo.21@postbox.acs.ohio-state.edu Rusted Root is amazing stuff to get high to! I am from Pittsburgh and I am proud to say they are too. Just fucking great! -CraigE-MAIL: kyle@scsu.ctstateu.edu Good band, live. I caught them at Toads Place in New Havenand the were great. They were supposed to open for the spin doctors but they got the gig openign for page and plant. if you hear of some more shows let me know, i'm interested in seeing them againE-MAIL: c784513t@edinboro.edu This album typified the Root's sound before they sold out to pop radio. Back to the Earth and Martyr have a much more grassroots like sound on this album!E-MAIL: cedavid@pegasus.rutgers.edu I bought this CD at a regular store.E-MAIL: SolBoheme!aol.com this is perhaps the best band i''ve ever listened too. this album proves their brilliance. if you havent picked this album up, do yourself a favor...and while you''re at it, pick up the other two studio albums. if you can get your hands on any live recordings, grab them. through live recordings you will get the true essence of the band, ENJOY!! Rusted Root has a rather unique sound that is very contagious. It`s a folk/rock/african rhythm combination with a large dose of percussion instruments from around the world and on electric string instruments. Look for their video of "Send Me On My Way" soon. This CD can only be obtained from them directly or at a show. E-mail if you would like their addressComments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
