Dear SLAG fans, This album is a perfect one to hear how our heroes sounded through the years. I am a fan since 1984. I still remember when I first heard their wonderfull soundscapes. It was on the end of a day working hard at school. I went to my room and put on Feeding the Flame ('83) I lent from a friend. I laid down on my bed and fell half asleep. Sometimes I woke up and when the songs went harder. I think it's the best way to hear SLAG for the first time, because the song get stuck in your mind by half sleeping. After that I listned more songs when I was awake and I became avery big fan of them. In 1987 I got a chance to see them perform life in Dordrecht, Holland. It was one of the a greatest gigs, with al the beautifull songs they have. It's a shame they never came again to Holland. During that period I was in several bands. Most of our songs were influenst by SLAG, the Chameleons and New Order. A few years ago we made an album called "We want more, roger!" and my band is called PUNCH, check it out at WWW.MMM.NL/PUNCH. I think all SLAG-fans like our music. Best Regards HANS BAKKER

Les Annes Vertes was an album recorded to coincide with the band''s 1988 tour of France and Switzerland, containing as it does many of Sad Lovers & Giants best loved tunes. Unfortunately it is deleted. Luckily, we have just released a new live CD of one of the gigs from this very tour which also contains many of the band''s best loved songs, including Clint, In Flux, Alaska, One Man''s Hell, Like Thieves and Imagination. Its beautifully presented with new art, photographs and sleeve notes from Tony McGuinness, the band''s guitarist. And it is available now! Send an IMO for £10 plus £3 P&P (Europe) or $16 + $4P&P (rest of world) to VK Records 46 Glendale Drive London SW19 7BG England
A collection of singles, B-sides, and generally hard tofind versions of previously released stuff by SLAG. Thisis a good introduction to their work, and covers the rangeof styles the band have adopted since the early eighties.
