Comments for Santana, Inner Secrets

E-MAIL: thatcher@uncc.campus.mci.net
While Inner Secrets is a 'good' album with some very good songs, it falls below the Santana standard, missing both the latin rhythm and hard edge that are such a part of most of Carlos' previous work, and the masterful guitar of his later music.

I'm wondering if the author of the commentary above this one listened to a different album than "Inner Secrets" before submitting their review. Lacking hard edge and masterful guitar? Bullshit! One listen to the track "Open Invitation" will dispel that garbage. In my opinion, this recording is not only Carlos Santanas best guitar effort, but one of the best that I've ever heard. The album has an exuberant quality which keeps me coming back for more, something current music is desperately lacking. Do yourself a favor and buy it!

Inner Secrets is an awesome guitar album!!! As for Latin vibe check out "Wham", one of Carlos'' best instrumentals...
Santana entered into a disco-rock phase but retained thelatin percussion. This is an interesting album with somegood tracks such as Open Invitation and Well Alright.
