A display of true class,combining energy and eerieness. "Whwn the Crowds are Gone" is a clessic.

The best album of 'Tage so far, and I believe, at all. Title track and "When The Crowds Are Gone" are simply the highlights of it.

This was my 2nd least favorite 'Tage album. I am definitely one of the biggest fans of Savatage but I think this album lacked in sound quality. The albums sounds as if there was no bass player at all and thats a shame because Johnny Lee Middleton is an awesome bass player. The vocals are a little bit strained, the guitars are a little dull (which is a shock to all Criss Oliva fans) and the drums aren't really all that audible. Track-wise, some of the good songs are the ballad "Summers Rain" and "When The Crowds Are Gone" or the progressive "Hounds". One of the coolest tracks would have to be Criss' most awesome guitar work on "Temptation Revalation".

This is the CD that started it all for me. I saw the band 2X on this tour and the rest is history. I am now a fan for life. Every tune is perfect. I wish Chris Oliva was still with us.

The first time I heard 'When The Crowds Are Gone' I said to myself WOW...this is the song I want played at my funeral. This song is just simply the best way for any musician to say goodbye to the world.

One of my favourite albums - maybe it''s their best!
