Comments for Schickele, Peter, P.D.Q. Bach: 1712 Overture & Other Musical Assaults

Ever notice how the 1812 Overture sounds like ''Pop goes the Weasel''? Neither did I, til I heard this. Instead of cannons going off, we are treated to balloons popping. While it drags in spots, (''Einstein on the Fritz'' comes to mind), this is great modern composition, and very funny.
