Highly original vocal music with influences from Swedish traditional music,world music and contemporary music, using extended vocal techniques andelectroacoustics as well as diverse acoustic instrumental arrangement.Marie Selander has been active on the Swedish muscial scene since the mid-1960`s, covering every genre from r&b, rock, Irish & Swedish folk music to free improvised music and electroacoustic music. She is now a Professor atthe folk music department of the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland.
