Shanice rules!

Shanice is one of the most talented singers around! I have been a big fan of hers ever since 1987 and despite what negative opinions some may have of her, I think those knuckleheads are just full of it! Although she may not be selling as much albums as someone like Janet Jackson, Shanice has the potential to do so! The main problem hindering Shanice is Motown Records and I'm probably not the only one who feels this way! They do a sloppy job of promoting her records and it hurts me to see such a beautiful and sensational singer like Shanice being put on the backburner. The promo people at Motown need to get off their butts and start giving Shanice the full support and backing she deserves! Long Live Shanice!!! J.T.

A disappointing follow-up to a promising album ("Inner Child"). "Somewhere," the first single, showed some funky promise, and the follow-up single, "Turn Down the Lights," was one of the better soul singles of that year. So what the hell happened? The rest of the material, except for the bright pop tune "Never Changing Love," is dull and trite. And, is it just me, or do the songs "I Like" and "Give Me the Love I Need," which are back to back, have EXACTLY the same groove and beat to them? I won''t even mention the immaturity of "Ace Boon Coon." A sloppy effort from an otherwise talented vocalist.
It seems Shanice is not taken seriously as an R&B singer. "I Love Your Smile" is just a sample of what she can do. Shanice has one of the bestvoices out there with skills to match. She is also one of theFew who don`t resort to sexually explicit lyrics in her songs.
