Comments for Barclay James Harvest, The Harvest Years

I`m missing a couple of tracks. The Harvest Years is a compilation of BJH`s first 4 albums plus some previously unreleased singles. Although often compared to the Moody Blues, the set, which encompasses their most creative period, reminds me of Procul Harum: the haunting organ,John Lees` punctuating guitar emulating that of Robin Trower, orchestral arrangements, songs about the dark realities of human existence, etc. Am I sounding progressive? Well, the emphasis is still on songs rather than meandering. And the songs are fantastic. It would be all downhill after this, so this compilation (plus Live) is pretty much all you need.
