Comments for Simon, Carly, Coming Around Again

This was Carly's best-selling album in years and it is easy to see why. The songs, most notably the title track, show all her strengths: perceptive and at times witty lyrics, catchy melodies and vocals that can be quite compelling. The album also includes some good cover versions ("As Time Goes By" and a mock-country rendition of Joe Tex's "Hold What You've Got"), and contributions from Stevie Wonder, Roberta Flack and Bryan Adams. It lacks the punch of some of her 1970s material - much of it seems directed at Adult Contemporary radio - but it is by far her best album of the '80s.

This is one of Carlys best albums of the 80's.The title track is one special song that captures the spirit of the times.

Out of all of Carly's albums this one is one of the best. These songs allow Carly to express her emotions during various times of her life and allows you and me an introspective examination of our own lives to see how we all have changed our perspective on the way we live our lives as we all grow a little older and little wiser.
