Great album--but why didn't they release Halfway Round The World as a single? It would be a great coffeehouse song.

like a river was a very moving song that spoke deeply. why didn't you keep the opera portion on clouds in my coffee ? it was one my favorite parts. its a superb ending. close to the sun is very powerful. i like to sing along with it playing loud in my car. we enjoyed your august concert date at blossom (cuyahoga falls). I wish i would of run down to sit in the empty seat you noticed at the beginning of the concert. devoted to you, robyn

I must admit, I almost thought good ole' Carly had abandoned us for awhile since she hasn't released an album in about 3 years, but it was worth the wait!! Great, great album!!! The only groaner on the whole album is "Lost in your love". Come on Carly!! You've got a better voice than that. All other songs are probably some of her best ever.

"Touched by the sun" is a masterpiece!!! Somehow this album brings emotions I never thought were possible. When is your next album due???

I really think that, as a young person myself, Carly's son, Ben should be encouraged to continue recording music. His voice is exceptional, and he should feel pride in what he has done. I would jump at the opportunity that he has been handed to follow in his parent's footsteps.

What an incredible album! Like A River had me in a flood of tears when I first heard it, it still does, 2 years later! Touched By The Sun is also a truly great song, I also love Private. I live in the UK and information about Carly is rare, so I am really pleased to have found this site!

Carly proves her worth as a songwriter! "Letters Never Sent" is in the same league as the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper," the songs and the cover!

I discovered Carly when VH1 played Touched By the Sun. No song ever moved me like that. I searched for the single, but couldnt find it, so I just bought the album. I am so glad I did. It was incredible. I love almost every song. She shows the true range of her voice, her songwriting, and her musical styles. I love it!!!

This album is incredible! I had to write when I read that someone put a bad comment on "Lost in your Love". That is probably my favorite song on the album. "Touched by the Sun" is probably the most inspirational song I ever heard. It is my motto. "Born to Break My Heart" is exceptional! Everybody going through a bad relationship can relate to it! I really enjoyed this album and promoted to it to all my friends. (They did buy it!)
