Comments for Simon, Carly, Have You Seen Me LatelyE-MAIL: ziva@carroll.com "Didn't I" is a touching rendition of the recriminations people go through after the end of a relationship. "Life Is Eternal" is a positive affirmation of our existance. "Happy Birthday" echos the emotions of person coming to terms with family as one ages. "Its Not Like Him" portrays a midlife crisis in a carefully-drawn manner. The sad, sweet "Fisherman's Song" sounds like it was written years ago, and is probably one of Simon's most beautiful songs ever.E-MAIL: CZWW89C@prodigy.com I agree on Fisherman's Song--one of the best. I wish she'd do an album that was Pure Folk sometime--she's got such a voice for it.E-MAIL: Randy_Santoro@att.com A truly wonderful album. It's one of the most listened to in our house. Does anyone else like to sing "Life is a turtle" along with Carly? Seriously, "Life Is Eternal" is a beautiful, uplifting song. "We Just Got Here" captures that end of the summer feeling so well my mind just drifts off everytime I hear it. This disc and "Comming Around Again" show Carly hasn't lost any of her enormous talent. She just keeps getting better.E-MAIL: swharper@hotmail.com "We Just Got Here" is a transcendent piece of music, a true gem in an album that, though wonderful, isn't consistently wonderful. I agree with the above comment that Carly should record a folk album.E-MAIL: Ronnie195 This message comes many years after purchase, but we love this album. I only have it on tape and hope it never gets mangled.E-MAIL: Ronnie195 This message comes many years after purchase, but we love this album. The songs "Life is Eternal" and "Waiting at the Gate" will always leave a lump in my throat, so lyrical and so moving. This is tops. "Didn't I" & "Have You Seen Me Lately" come a close second as my favourites, with their poignant melody and rhythm.E-MAIL: p.s.galbraith@btinternet.com This album is probably one of the best. I played this cassette tape so much that the tape broke in my car! I new I was a fan when I spent all day untangling the tape out of car cassette and then I spliced the broken tape together with scotch tape (I never new I had that talent)! I am now writing this in 1999 and since replaced this with a CD. Since then I now have 12 other CD''S from her! This CD is what started my collection of Carly''s work!Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
