I, too, have been waiting for this one on cd for quite sometime I had a record store (HMV) research it and they found that it had been released on cassette but that too has gone out of print.

Maybe Elektra will read all our comments and FINALLY release this on CD!! I've never heard it myself, but have heard a lot about it and my interest is PIQUED!!! I of course have "Never Been Gone" and "We're So Close" on the box set, and if those songs are any indication, this is one I definitely want to add to my collection! They released the shoddy "Come Upstairs"...now they can release this one I hear nothing but high praise for!!!

FINALLY..."Spy" is on CD!!! And it was worth the wait...what a tight set! "Vengeance" is a hot rocker, "Just Like You Do" finds Carly at her smooth-70's-adult-contemporary peak, and "Never Been Gone" and "We're So Close" rate among her finest ballads ever. The title track is also a treat. "Boys in the Trees" and "Anitcipation" are still stronger releases, but "Spy" is definitely a winner and it's a real joy to finally have it on CD. Thank you, Elektra!

I have to agree "SPY" is superb. Finally the complete Carly collection. "We'reSo Close" is Simon's best written song. Soulful, heartwrecthing & gutsy. The same can be said for "Love You By Heart", and " Memorial Day". Back to back albums with Arif makes me wish they would create the magic again someday.

Well, I just entered this site to find out wich of the Carly Simon's albuns contained "Just like you do" and "you know what to do" . I bought Clouds in my Coffee and was very sad to know that my fav ones wasn't there. I think "Just like you do" is everything.

This and "Boys In The Trees" are by far the best work of Carly's early years. All the tracks are great, especially "Spy", "We're So Close", "Just Like You Do", "Never Been Gone",and "Memorial Day". In other words, A+ for the whole thing.

My name is Everson Dias. I'm a Musical Producer and a fan nº 1 of Carly here in Brazil. I don't speak english. Do you understand portuguese? I hope so. Eu gostei de ouvir Carly Simon desde o 1º disco. Tenho 90% dos seus discos em CD. Só não consegui comprar o Spy, que é um dos meus favoritos.

One of my favorite Carly albums (only topped by "Boys in the Trees"). Why doesn`t Elektra release this on CD? I was thrilled to have "Never Been Gone" and "We`re So Close" on the Clouds in My Coffee box set.Although I love all the songs on this collection, my highest praise is for: "Vengeneance" with John Hall sounding like James; "We`re So Close" what a haunting song; "Just Like You Do" has a great hook that you won`t get out of your head; and "Memorial Day" a terrific piece in the vein of "The Desert" on Come Upstairs, but this one works much better. If anyone from Elektra is listening, please give us this on CD with "Nobody Does It Better" as a bonus track. Otherwise, you`ll have to hunt through the used vinyl bins or find a friend who went to college in the 70`s.
