Comments for Simon And Garfunkel, The Concert in Central Park

An excellent live performance. It is interesting to hear Artie sing harmony on songs that the public is used to hearing by the solo Paul Simon, although his comment before his own solo number "A Heart In New York" ("...one of the only numbers in this show that is _not_ a Paul Simon tune.") is kind of pathetic. But it is the only commercially available Simon and Garfunkel concert available, which makes it an essential addition to the listener's S&G collection.

"Bookends" was, I think their best album. The themes were about growing old, memories and friends. America, and Mrs Robinson are the best. Punky's Dilemma and At The Zoo are groovy too.

Mrs. Robinson may have became famous because of the Graduate movie soundtrack, but it was not originally written for the movie.

I find this album to be the most interesting of all of the S&G albums. I enjoyed hearing Garfunkels comments etc. as well as the sounds and mental images that only a live album can produce. A perfect 10!
