S&G released this set of conventional folk tunes in `64 and, though a solid album (and well worth checking out if you haven`t already), it got lost in a flurry of folk records at the time. It wasn`t `til a producer (in the wake, I believe, of the Byrds` success w/"Mr. Tambourine Man"), overdubbed electric instruments over "Sounds of Silence" that it took off.
