Comments for Simple Minds, GOOD NEWS FROM THE NEXT WORLD

This was one of the best albums of the year. The songs are simply huge in a good way. "She's A River" has a beautiful flying riff and "Hypnotized" is hypnotic. Some of the songs seem to sound a bit similar but this actually becomes less evident on repeated listenings. The lyrics are abstract and evocative. Anyone who is a Minds fan or who likes music reminiscent of U2 in the 80s should check this out.

The greatest return of 1995 and one of the best albums in that year. "She's a river" has energy and "Hypnotised" is a great love song.

This was a huge relief after the incredibly weak ''Real Life'' album from 1991. Energetic rock displaying Burchill''s brilliant guitar sound. Indeed the songs all sound a bit similar, but what the heck, pearls like ''7 Deadly Sins'' and ''Great Leap Forward'' have been long waited for.

SOUNDS LIKE SIMPLE MINDS. GREAT ALBUM.
