Comments for Simply Red, Life

Very good effort. If my fellow Americans are unaware, their last album was the "Thriller" of Europe, selling ten million. The best tracks on this one are "So Beautiful" and "Fairground."

Everybody told me: Itīs the very best! Itīs so great. Now: Itīs not bad - but "Stars" was the better album

Now don't you just love Mick's play on words, "Let's make amends, like all Goodmen should". Hmmm. When I first heard the single, "Fairground", I thought Mick has absolutely gone out of his mind in sampling the Goodmen's "Give it up" and adapting his soulful vocal to that mega-dance track. But not a bad effort. The remix by Rollo and Sister Bliss advanced the group back on the dancechart.

A very dissapointing album. After Stars, this was close to garbage and a waste of money. Only Lives and Love and So many People are exceptions.
