Comments for Siouxsie And The Banshees, Hyaena

It must have been at this time that the band started to almost lose their way. After the highpoint Dreamhouse, this album was simply disappointing. The singles are brilliant - as always - but something''s missing. McGeoch, their former guitarist (they sacked him after A Kiss In The Dreamhouse for strange reasons) left a gap that Robert Smith just couldn''t (and didn''t want to) fill. Still, ''Preacherman'', ''Take me Back'' and the singles are brilliant. The US version includes Dear Prudence which doesn''t quite belong here, as it wasn''t on the original release. Or it should have been among bonus tracks on the CD, along with the brilliant ''I Promise'', ''Let Go'' and ''Tattoo'', but sadly there''s no bonus tracks on the CD!
I think Mr. Severin said it right in an article I read once, something like, after being a guitar band they did this and f**ked everbody up.-or something like that-don`t believe everything you read. Great lyrics as usual. Robert Smith on guitar, whatever.
