This album wails!!!!! Only complaint is I've waited 4 years between albums only to find 36 minutes (albeit 36 minutes of Slayers best) on their new release. Dudes got it right when he says the live show kicks ass. Caught them in Montreal a couple of months ago. Definitely worth the trip and the money.

When i seen slayer this year in chicago they said at the end of the show that they will be back this summer but i still havnt herd any information about that if anyone could help let me noo . DIVINE is ok in my book , and the new drummer blows lombardo away i just hope they start kicking more records out before there time is up . about seeing them live , i first seen them in 86 i hated them but when i seen them live they were the best band i ever seen they have a POWER that i never felt its amazing what they make you feel and no one that havent seen them would understand
It may be necessary to stress at the outset that, and you may need some time on this,Slayer have possibly topped "Reign in Blood".The drum intro to the first track is mental, and leads perfectly into a monstrouspower chord. The rest of the song devotes itself to a fight between high speed and sheer brutality.Dittohead is to fast to comprehend and the comparrison to postmortem is unavoidable. The whole album just boasts speed and brutality with a style that only Slayer can achieve. I`m just sorry that I even doubted them for a second, and live the show isjust awesome with the new material fitting into an already pack set. It must surelybe testament to the new material that they can open with a new track from a new album,(thus placing "Hell Awaits" in the encore) and remove songs off of "Reign in Blood"in favour of new material.
