Comments for Slowdive, Just For A Day

One of the best records ever made, according to my opinion anyway. They are unfortunately a very underestimated group, especially by the music press. Most groups today are cocky and make rather simple music. Slowdive doesn´t really fit into that sort of music scene and because of that the magazines write crap about Slowdive.

This is one of the best album I''ve heard, reminicent of the older psychedelic Pink Floyd

This album is worth getting just for "Catch the Breeze" and"Primal". They are both the finest examples of wall-of-guitar/synth noise that I have ever heard. The songsstart as nice friendly relaxing things, and then mutateinto a sound assault of unparallelled beauty. Recommended.

I obtained this CD about 10 years ago when I worked as a DJ at my college radio station. It is one of the best albums I own. AND I agree that they are/were a very underestimated musical group. It is truly music for thinking and feeling people, incredibly relaxing and introspective. -Erik
