A smooth album with flowing songs. Successful but still Not a sellout. I applaude them for this album.

Good lord, this is the greatest album I have heard in my life. It flows like a dream, contains songs which touch your innermost being, and has the indescribale sound only the Pumpkins can achieve. I have had the album for one and a half years and it still get more airplay than any of my other cds, to the point that it is nearly worn out. I have never met an unsatisfied listener, and it is worth it's weight in gold insofar as bang for your entertainment buck. Don't judge the album by releases Today and Disarm, greater treasures await. To get a feel for it, try listening to Soma, Hummer, and Mayonaise. A true masterpiece. K.W.

The best album I have ever heard. You won't be disappointed!

This one of the greatest musical works of the 90's. The smashing Pumpkins create a strange comfort admist very angst ridden times and music. Buy it and read the lyrics. The word RAWK comes to mind.

'Soma', 'Mayonnaise', and 'Geek USA' are the unsung musical masterpieces of the Pumpkins' career! The songs that eMpTV plays to death off this album really don't do it justice. A must have.

this album ranks in my mind with superunknown, dirt and temple of the dog. It's a fantastic album which really runs the gamut of musical feeling and direction. from 'luna' to 'quiet' and from 'geek usa' to disarm', this album showcases billy's knack for churning out both excellent and diverse songs. not a bad song on the album, which I can't say for many others.

Siamese Dream is by far one of the greatest albums I have ever known. I can't wait for the next one. The way that Billy Corgan has written the lyrics to the songs on this album is extrordinary.

SD is the quintessential Smashing Pumpkins' CD. This is one defines 'must-have'. 'Mayonaise' is the single finest song ever written.

This IS their best. Even over MCIS. It matches both skill and raw energy, which they haven't totally lost from their earlier years, though Billy thinks they have. He's such a pessimist. Though MCIS is good, it's seems to be extremely experimental for them. I had hoped that they would come out with at least one more album like this ... but I suppose that would make it a Sell-Out, wouldn't it?

maybe this album is better than Collie, but I've heard it to death. still "SOMA" and "mayonaise" are my all-time SP-favs.

SIAMESE DREAM IS LIKE NO OTHER. MY FRIEND RECENTLY GAVE ME THIS CDI USED TO HAVE THE TAPE (WHAT THE HELL HAPPEED TO IT DON'T ASK ME) IT IS JUST ONE REMARKABLE WORK IN TOW WEEKS AFTER RECEVING THE SIAMESE DREAM CD I 'NEEDED' MORE PUMPKINS SO I HAD TO GO OUT AND GET 'ALL' THE CDS AND IT WAS A GOOD INVESTMENT. THE SONGS ON SIAMESE DREAM TOUCHUIN MANY WAYS FROM SONGS LIKE CHERUB ROCK WITH THE STRONG BEAT AND THE MOST FANTSATIC SONG IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD 'MAYONAISE' NO SONG WILL EVER RATE HIGHER THEN MAYONIASE TO ME. IF U DON'T HAVE THIS CD YET (WHAT IS WRONG WITH U) BUT I THINK WELL I DEMAND U GO OUT AND GET IT NOW :)

This is the only album you need. When it gets worn out, get a new one. There is no other like the Pumpkins'. There never will be. They define Alternative. No more rock from them, never fear, whatever they come out with next will be just as good--they can't make a bad album.

screw mellon collie, here's a real album for you. this baby is awesome, and to those who don't have it: get it. no cd collection is complete without it!

Yes, I fell madly in love with this album. I was only 12 when I got it and it was the only band which I really loved and I ended up listening to it some many times that my cassette broke! Then I got the CD. I cannot chose a favorite song, but whenever Soma comes on....I almost lose myself.

That's the best album I've never heard (and I've heard thousands). Mayonaise and Soma are out of this world. If you're thinking on getting it GOĦ, you won't be able to stop listening to it.

one aspect of my life that does make me feel really lucky is that i didn't have to go through my adolescence without this album. it answers so many of those seemingly unanswerable adolescent questions, and negates others -- adults *don't* have to be dickheads! they can be cool and understanding and adult all at the same time! this is one of the five albums that made me cry cause it's all so fuckin true. 'we'll try and ease the pain, yet somehow we'll feel the same . . .' billy is the best lyricist ever. and how is he for a gorgeous song? i didn't think anyone could out-gorgeous my bloody valentine, and it turned out to be one of their students! ha ha! no, really, if you don't like this album, you should go back to listening to the backstreet boys and jacking off in your bedroom.

Siamese Dream, regardless of what some think, is a revolutionary movement into alternative movement. A prelude to MCIS, it personified the Pumpkins as the machine all working through the song as one being, so that during a performance it frees the mind up so that the pumpkins can think of other things, usually emotions, so that a performance gives a general synopsis of how the band feels as a whole, in comparison of aggressive vs. a smooth legato of sounds, giving plenty of misconception in how a song can be interpreted. Some think that that Soma is a song of sublime movement, whereas the lyrics are angst ridden and prophetic in angst-ridden, apocalyptic ways. It is this misconception which was never noticed by it''s first critics, in the early 90''s, and only under close study can it be revealed after a study of the paradoxical mix of both fast and slow music, loud and soft music (respectively). This is what is the dream was, is, and will be, regardless of albums put out by the pumpkins.
