Comments for Smith, Patti, Wave

That last comment doesn't make any sense to me. I don't think that Patti Smith ever had a "heroin phase", though Side One of "Radio Ethipoia" has a couple of songs that have something to do with heroin. At the time this album was considered a sell-out. But ... I love it! As usual, having Todd Rundgren produce your album ends up resulting in a very focused and listenable product. There are some great songs on here and I would recommend this to anyone, especially fans of bands such as U2 and Simple Minds who were influenced by Patti's sensibility. Her best album, I think. By the way, U2 did a version of "Dancing Barefoot" when they were younger that really missed the point - the song's got to do with womanhood and childbirth, not subjugation of one's self to a religion.

I agree with mcfarsc that heroin has no point on this subject. Another thing, the tittle of the album is wrong (WAVE, not WABE). Thanks, anyway.
Just coming out of her heroin phase...
