Absolutly superb a masterpiece. Very well cast and a fine example of quality music and great talent. Especially the voice of Pirelli, Tobias and Beadle Banford

Sondheim`s interpretation of the legend of Sweeney Todd "the demon barber of Fleet Street,"who murdered his clients, who were then baked into meat pies by his cohort Mrs. Lovett.Stars Len Cariou as Sweeney Todd, Angela Lansbury as Mrs. Lovett, Victor Garber as AnthonyHope, Sarah Rice as Johanna, Merle Louise as the Beggar Woman and Edmund Lyndeck as JudgeTurpin. This is probably Sondheim`s most challenging and controversial work, but is ar-guably his finest, dealing with questions of morality, revenge and social upheaval. The score is intricate and contains the notable "Pretty Women" and "Not While I`m Around."
