This album rules so much, I got 2 copies, and listen to them back to back.

You're damn right this album's bad.... Best S/G song period: 'Hands All Over'. Get it!!

Major Label debut! Guitars don't seem to be as loud in the mixing, which really leaves something to be desired. But it still rocks. Tom Petty's Its good to be king" was stolen from "power trip" by SG. and Full on kevins mom is great too, but i think the best is definately Big Dumb Sex. It's an anti-rape song for you preppy jocks out there. but good

This is a must have! Ugly Truth rocks, and Gun is great. Gun's lyrics and guitar solo surpass most other Soundgarden songs, and Full On Kev's Mom is great as well. Big Dumb Sex is wonderful...why it was marked for explicit lyrics is beyond me.

Probably the worst Soundgarden album... very commercial... That still doesn't make it bad... Soundgarden's a great band...

I loved half of this album, but I usually skip any song with Yamamoto's name in the credits. "Hands All Over" is a stand- out, both in the ultra-catchy riff as well as the lyrics. Gun has some stunningly affective tempo shifts which serve to make a fairly repetitive riff-fest one of the album's strongest tracks. "Ugly Truth", "Uncovered" and (of course) "Big Dumb Sex" also stand out. Cornell's voice lacked some of the polish (if you can call it that) that would later develop, but this album showed that Soundgarden is a band with a brain as big as their amps.

Pretty damn decent album. Gun and Get On The Snake really rock. This album is a huge jump from their previous material. It''s a shame that many people do not look at this as some of their best songs.
Get it.
