Comments for Soundgarden, Screaming Life-Fopp

A very strange SoundGarden album. Covers ZZ Topesque vocals, Surfish Music, and even a retarded, sorry rap song called "Little Joe" Not my fav album but "Tears to Forget", "Hunted Down", "Nothing to Say", "Hand of God", and "Fopp" make it a worthwhile listen.

Little Joe is a great song live. I really like the album perhaps better than Ultramega OK and Louder than Love. Hand of God is the best song.

Personally, I feel that this is a great album. First off, Little Joe has great guitar work. Fopp, Hunted Down, Entering, Hand of God, and Nothing To Say are the best on here. I especially like Hand Of God because it is so angry and wonderful.

Nothing to Say is one of the wickedest slow tunes...a prelude to Slaves and Bulldozers (Badmotorfinger). All in all, a very diverse album. One can actually hear Hiro's bass, unlike the drowned-in-the-mix sound of Ben...

I''m still blown away by Cornell''s vocals in the early days. This SG stuff has a different sound, but just as good
Originally released as 2 separate EPs in 1987 and 1988 re-spectively, and later combined. SG`s first recording and isdefinitely a must have.
