I heard Sponge are from the Detroit "scene". Oh, Sponge is lucky Robert Frost isn't alive to sue: The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. --- "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening"

I've seen Sponge 4 times live and they get better every time. My personal favorites are Drownin' and Giant but the whole album is solid rock. If your not a fan yet see them live and you will be.

I've seen Sponge 2 times live. First at the TLA on South Street in Philly and the second at the Electric Factory also in Philly. I met Vinnie and got his autograph so it was pretty cool. I also know a couple of people from Detroit that know Sponge and hang out with them.

I''ve played guitar for 10 yrs now, so i know good music when i hear it - Sponge is unique for those that are sick of the typical Pearl Jam/alternative craze - screw that crap - many artists are better than that if interested in better music, let me suggest an artist''s site at www.satriani.com - INCREDIBLE guitarist with innovative music that has taught Steve Vai, Kirk Hammett, etc...
