This is Steely Dan's second album, and it began to more firmly establish the "Steely Dan" sound hinted at in the first album and well established by the third album "Pretzel Logic". Donald Fagan no longer shares the vocal chores on this record. Stand out tracks are considered by many to be "My Old School", "Bodhisattva", and "Your Gold Teeth", though all tracks on this disc are solid and memorable to all serious Dan fans. Also, Rick Derringer guests on slide guitar on "Show Biz Kids".

"My Old School" and "Show Biz Kids" are the band's two best songs. Nuff said.

Steely Dan''s second album was undoubtedly one of the best. The musicianship on the tracks is unrivalled. ''Your Gold Teeth'' is fantastic and ''Razor Boy'' shows just how melodic Fagen and Becker could be.
