Comments for Stewart, Al, Famous Last Words

E-MAIL: charlie.hulme@man.ac.uk
A wonderful album from folk/rock hero Stewart, the last to feature Peter Wood, co-author of the legendary 'Year of the Cat', who has since tragically died. Possibly also the last to feature Al's long-time colleague Peter White, now a well-known solo artist in the jazz field. Includes some astounding acoustic guitar from White and Eddie Farah on 'Trespasser' . Highlight is Al's 9-minute epic of 20-th century 'Trains' which follows the part played by railways in his life and in the wars of the 20th c. Ask me about the Al Stewart mailing list!

The highlight is the song Charlotte Corday, cowritten by Tori Amos. Otherwise isn''t as good as Last Days or Time Passages.
