A very very soulfull album, brought upon by the death of his father. This album sound to me a very belated goodbye.

Sting's most melodic and haunting work. Sad yet uplifting. An inspiration to me in my writing.

Stin's most inspired album. Not his most popular but probably his best.

Sting's best album! If you don't own it, buy it right now! (Is there any reason NOT to love The Soul Cages?)

Sting has been a favorite of mine for years, but it was only after I bought The Soul Cages that I finally understood the depths of his musical genius. The title of the album attracted me, but I was very disappointed in the actual title track. Nevertheless, the album is one of the most precious in my collection for the excellent tracks "Mad About You", "Island of Souls", "Why Must I CRy For You", and even the acoustic "Saint Agnes and the Burning Train", which conveys volumes. Definitely an album to add to your collection. Rather dark, but superb work.

Simply Sting's best album. Specially the song "when the angels fall" is just incredible!! I think it is the most inspiring of his songs.

This is Sting's best album, as an entire work. It is extremely satisfying to listen to from beginning to end. Highlights: "All This Time", "Mad About YOU", "WHy Should I Cry For You", and the title track. And do not overlook the wonderful instrumental "St.Agnes".

What else should there been added? For me it's simply the best sting album. it's not like some of his other albums, that I liked when I heard it for the first time, but the more I listen to the great compositions, the more I like it. There's one of his fellow musician that I want to mention at this point. I think Manu Katche did a really great job on this cd. His way to play drums is a great inspiration.
