Comments for Storm, The, Eye of the StormE-MAIL: musiclvr@accesscom.com THIS ALBUM IS AWESOME! IT'S AVAILABLE THRU "THOUGHTSCAPE SOUNDS" (1-800-435-6185) FOR ONLY 20 BUCKS WHICH ISN'T BAD FOR THIS GEM OF AN IMPORT! MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT THE BAND IS BROKEN UP NOW THAT JOURNEY HAS GOTTEN BACK TOGETHER IN '96 SOME OTHER GROUP SHOULD SNATCH THE LEAD SINGER OF "THE STORM" QUICKLY!!! HIS VOICE IS WHAT STEVE PERRY USED TO BE... POWERFUL. nuff said--- the musiclvr!E-MAIL: carolejb@webspan.net Anyone who really likes THE STORM will be pleased to know that they will be getting two awards as " BEST ALBUM " in England. (Jan. 97) I wonder why this had to happen in Europe and not in the States. This is for their second release "Eye of the Storm", which by the way is a GREAT ALBUM ! This only tells me one thing- the people in Europe know good talent when they hear it, and as for the American buying public, WAKE UP ! The storm came and went and you didn't even know it. This AMERICAN rock band is now getting two awards. Stop getting brainwashed by the radio and M-T.V. If you want to make up for stupidity go get this record now. Why not the first do you ask? Well, I guess the album didn't sell as well as it should have and INTERSCOPE pulled the plug. I don't want to sound pissed off, but what it comes down to is this: the radio is filled with a lot of raw sewage lately and the band who are no longer are getting two awards for music that was non-existant in the States, but instead should have been top of the charts right here at home. I'll leave you with this, the radio is saturated with a lot of garbage and the airwaves should have been blessed with the rain from this underated band called "THE STORM."E-MAIL: jgraffeo1@vaxa.hofstra.edu BY FAR THE BEST ALBUM OF 1996!!!!!!! EVERY SONG IS A HIT! I know it came out late 1995, but it reallyshould be considered a 1996 album. To be honest its not even close. There are still bands that can rock! Led by lead singer Kevin Chalfant, this band puts on an awesome performance. As you may know this band is made up of former Journey members, and apparently they tried to find a singer who can compete with Steve Perry, but Chalfant deserves his own recongition. Hard rocking tunes like "Don''t Give Up" "Soul of a Man" just make you want to turn the radio up all the way. Softer tunes like "Give me tonight" and "Love isnt easy"(a personal favorite) are just incredible. How Chalfant can sing "Waiting for the World to Change", is just unbelievable, if I was able to sing once in my life for 4 minutes, it would like that. I am not the kind of person who plays the same album over and over again, Eye of the Storm is a rare exception. Why an album like this is not all over the radio is beyond me. If current and new bands put as much effort into their songs like Storm does, music would be so much better. There are not bogus lyrics, they are well written, and move the listener. If you think music has sunk in quality over the past 5-10 years, BUY THIS ALBUM, its quality music at a good price. If you can buy one mail order album this year, this should "be the one you''ve been waiting for." This album is as good as the first! Very strong album, to bad it stops here. This is an import title but well worth it if you find it.(Both albums feature members from Journey)Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
