This album challenges Pure Country as Strait''s best album in the 90s. The album is a stellar effort that is deserving of country music fan''s respect. Personal favorites include What am I Waiting For, a catchy song penned by Jim Lauderdale , and Down Loiusianna Way a sweet ballad that displays Strait''s powerful voice. The remake I Met A Friend Of Yours Today is in the style of The Chair and reflects Strait''s interesting ''story telling in a song'' ability. Lead On is my choice for top album of the year.
