If you like Styx at all, this is a must have album. This was the first attempt by Styx at a concept album. One of the great rock albums of all time. "Come Sail Away", "Fooling Yourself", and "Miss America" are still concert favorites 20 years later.

A transcendent album from a under-achieving band. Has a soft spot in many hearts for sheer nostalgia value (what ten-year-old thirtysomething didn''t love this album back in ''77), but a close listen twenty years later still reveals something special. Fooling Yourself, Come Sail Away, Castle Walls, and especially Man in the Wilderness boast a complexity and songwriting confidence that still resonate today. Showcases a hard-to-reach "big" sound, highlighted by ingenious and forceful use of synthesizers. Shows just how much Tommy Shaw brought to the band. Overall, an ambitious and successful zenith for a fan favorite.
