This album is a first one that used synthesizer in the pop/rock field. Brian wilson used it in the song "I just Wasn't Made For These Times" and a few months later he made the best of the intrument(theremin) for the song "Good Vibrations". In 1966,Brian was a head of the times and of course, blew the mind of the Beatles' mind.

The best album ever? Not quite as good as Blood on the tracks by Dylan though

A wonderful Debussy-esque offering by quite possibly the greatest composer in pop music history, Brian Wilson. His time at the top was all too short.

very overrated. a good album needs to be more than beautiful. it should be entertaining. i fall sleep during many of the tracks. still a great album to buy simply for god only knows and wouldn't be nice.

What makes this album beautiful (and entertaining) is in the details: this is one album where you''ll constantly be saying to yourself (oh, I never heard that before!). What sets this apart from all other beach boys albums is the fact that there is so many subtle nuances that it never really becomes boring.
Brian Wilson is the Voice Of God
