Comments for The Brand New Heavies, Brother Sister

Perfect blend of pop, funk, and soul from the the pioneers of acid jazz. Single "Dream on Dreamer" a choice cut, ditto for the soul ballad "Forever" and the funk-heavy "Fake." Tastes of disco ("Spend Some Time") and reggae ("People Giving Love") are nice new dimensions to their trademark sound, and of course N''Dea Davenport''s voice is in top form throughout. By far the Heavies'' strongest effort.

This is a great album, in the old style of their first album.N`dea Davenport seems to be a real member of theirband now, which is a good thing, because it is herpresence which really cements this foursome.
