Comments for The Clean, Vehicle

The Clean first arrived around 1979 and lasted until 1982. They reformed in 1990, 1994 and 1996 to record albums and toured. There best stuff was recorded in the eearly eighties e.g. the ''Getting Older'' 7", ''Boodle Boodle Boodle'',''Great Sounds...'' and ''Live Dead Clean'' EPs and of their albums of the nineties Vehicle is the best. IMO the best song is ''Diamond Shine'', but ''Dunes'' and ''Gem'' are also good. As for being alternative, please tell the cretins at alt.music. alternative that. I''d give it 6/10 Peter

I wait around, and big soft punch are great.The clean are one of the most prototypically "Dunedin Sound"bands.
