Comments for They Might Be Giants, Flood

It's all great stuff, but this one is by far the best TMBG album. If you don't have any of their stuff, this is the one to start with. Be warned, however, that TMBG are not for those lacking in a sense of humor.

One of the most popular TMBG songs seems to be "Birdhouse In Your Soul", and I have to agree. This album has many great songs on it and is one of my two favorite albums. Give it a try!

This is tied with Apollo18 as my favorite TMBG album, but I have to agree that Flood is definitely the best album to start with. "Birdhouse" is a classic, as is "Particle Man". I also like "Dead"-for some strange reason, it cheers me up. Long live TMBG! Check out Dial-a-Song online for a great rendition of "Why Does the Sun Shine"

Insanely catchy tunes with twisted, but hilarious, lyrics.

I don't like it as much as I used to. Yeah, the songs are still catchy, but something seems to be missing. "Hearing Aid" is a bit irritating to me, "Road Movie To Berlin" feels like filler, and the rest is ups and downs in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend starting with this one.

The most overplayed and underappreciated They album to date.

They Might Be Giants is a wonderful band. You get into their songs whether you like that style of music or not.
